ANCILLARY TASK 1 - MY SPINE

This is my final spine for my CD case.
I decided to keep the spine simply because they often are, only revealing the name of the album or the artist and sometimes both.
In my case I decided just to use the name of the album, which is also the name of the song of my music video. This is because it shows a direct link to my CD and video.
On spines, there are also links to the record label, whether there is the name or a logo to represent them for promotional uses. I decided to use a logo which I located on the bottom of the spine. It is not particularly large but it represents the company.

I have used font and colours of the text the same as the CD cover because this is showing continuity.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - CREATING THE SPINE OF MY CD

Before starting to create the spine of my CD case, I had to find out the measurements.
I found out that the size of the spines were:
Size: 118mm x 6.5mm
With this in mind, I was now able to create a spine using photo shop.

I started creating my Spine on Photoshop by importing the right size document.

I decided to include the album title, 'Back to December' because this is most common on music album spines. To keep the continuity, I decided to use the same font I have used previous and the same colour of Red, written on a white background.

I then decided that I wanted to name my record label, which is often seen on spines, for promotional purposes.
Though I originally wanted to name the record label company, after completing the text I wanted, I felt as though there was not enough room along the spine. In regards to this, I decided to create a logo to represent the company, which is also often used instead
To do this, I used paint to create a simple lightning bolt logo.

After creating this, I simply made the logo smaller and located it at the bottom of my spine.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - SPINE OF CD COVERS.

After researching into the back covers of CD covers, I also thought it was important to look into the spines of the Case, which is an important feature because it shows the audience who the CD is promoting and what it is.

This is an image taken by me of all the spines of the CD album covers I focused on.
All four spines represent different things, but there is a clear sense of continuity in each in regards to their own case.

All of the top three spines, include both the artists' name and the name of the album, which is easy information to include and show the audience.

In contrast, Taylor Swift's spine does not include the name of the album but instead promotes the record deal 'Big Machine records'. All of which can be included in the spine.
All four also show the reference number of the CD album, which could be there for marketing purposes.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - RESEARCHING BACK COVERS OF CD ALBUMS

This is the back cover to Adele's latest album, '21'.
From this, I can see that her back cover includes the list of tracks featured in the album, plus an image of the artist herself.
This imaged used on the back cover is different to the front cover image, but there is a continuity of the background and colours used e.g. both images are black and white.
As well as this, there is a bar code for buying purposes and the back cover shows the recommended website for the artist and the record company that Adele is with. This is a good use of promoting the company and the artist at the same time.

Though some album covers have the images of the artist at the back of the cover, this does not apply to all album covers.
Th JLS album back cover (right) doesn't include an image of the  band, but it still links to the band.
Instead of using an image, they have kept the background a dark colour, representing continuity but have only wrote a clear track list of the songs on the album. This is clear and simple to read and located in the middle of the cover.
To represent the band still, they have used a bar at the top of the list of the four colours that represent their band.
Like most back covers, this one also promotes the record label company and uses a bar code for marketing purposes.

I also took images of Back covers from CD i had at home. Similar to the ones above, they both included websites, bar codes, record label details and a track list. Here are both Cd covers:

The difference between these two back covers of the Cd's is that the Take That cover on the right is much more simple. Though they both show continuity, the CD on the right is more simple than Taylor Swifts on the left because the background is plain and the font is clear and easy to understand. This is in contrast to Taylor Swifts which has somewhat more colour and includes an image of the artist. There looks to be more information on the image on the left which makes it more appealing in my opinion, though it isn't overcrowded.
This is something I need to consider while creating the back cover to my CD.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - MY FINAL CD FRONT COVER

This is my final version of my CD cover for my music album.

This is my final front cover for my CD album.
Overall, I am very happy with what I have produced and I feel that it includes all the conventions needed for a CD cover.
I decided to use both the name of the artist and the album on the front cover. Though this is not always used, I decided to do this, because I believe it is convenient to have both names on the cover.
I wanted to keep the front cover simple, which is why I used this specific image and text.
The red text is clear even though it overlaps the subject and also is representative of the genre of the music. It would attract my target audience, especially as I am targeting at young girls The white text has been used because it is very clear to read, especially with the darker background.
The font used is clear to read for the audience but is also somewhat script like. As the font can be seen as 'elegant' it connotes a sense of freedom and carefree. This is ideal because the album is about personal experiences which the artist needs to move on from and can be sharing from her system.
The image used itself can also connote a sense of letting go of the past for the artist. This can be shown by how she is positioned because she looks like she is looking behind her to her past experiences. This links to the main track of the album and my music video. This is showing continuity.

I decided to overlap the writing with the main subject of the image and the CD because this is something used in various CD covers especially ones of Taylor Swift. (Right)
This gives more focus on the centre and the subject of the cover.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - CREATING MY CD COVER

Now that I have decided on the images that I would like to use and are aware of the conventions that are needed on a CD cover, I am now ready to start making the cover of my CD.

Before making my CD cover, It was important for me to know of the size and specifications for a CD cover so that I can produce a cover that will suit a CD case. I found out that a standard CD cover case is 12cm X 12cm for the front cover and 11.75cm X 15.1cm for the back cover, Including the spines.
These sizes are shown below:
standard CD jewel case cover size illustration

I decided to start creating my final front cover on photoshop. I chose this programme because it enables me to edit images the way I prefer and to create a CD cover in an easier and more practical way.

This was an original idea for my front cover, after playing around with Photoshop. Once finishing this first design, I decided that I didnt like this because the image looks squashed together. As well as this, I thought about the image itself and decided that with the mouth of the artist open, it may not be appropriate for an album cover.
I like the font of the text used because it represents a carefree spirit but it is hard to read this text.

After using this image and not liking it, I decided to change the image.

Step 1 - Before using my image, I had to use picnik to edit the image. This is to make it look lighter and stand out to the audience, especially as this would be the first thing the artist would see in a store.

Step 2 - Again using photoshop to edit and create my front cover, I inserted my image and added some text. As I had already tested the writing, I knew that I wanted to use Pristina but I didnt know what colours to use and how to layout the writing on the page. With this in mind, I had to experiment with both.

I used the colours white and green and located the text straight and to the right of the subject.  I chose this side because it is darker and so would be easier to see.

I then changed the colour and the layout of the text. This was to experiement with both. I preferred the name of the artist on the bench. I think this was good because it is using an area of the image for a different purpose.  As well as this, I like the use of white because it is in contrast to the background colour. Im am still unsure about the layout of the 'Back to December' text.

I then decided to move the song title text to the same area of the artist text as well as change the colour. As the title overlaps with the main subject of the image, It was difficult to find aa colour that was bold enough to be seen, especially the yellow and green used before, which is why I changed it to red.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 -CHANGE OF PLAN

After thinking about the two images I initially chose to use on my CD cover, I watched my video and decided to use a shot from there instead. To do this, I am going to try and print screen a shot from my video. I think this will be a good idea because it will seem more natural, which is a image that I would quite like to portray on my cover.
Though this is a possiblity, I will still try and still incorporate both of the other two images into my CD cover and other ancillary tasks.

These are the possible shots that I can use that I have saved from my video:

I like this image because it is natural instead of posed connoting a sense of freedom and represents the album to be somewhat care free. It would be a good idea to use this image because it shows continuity in regards to the video as this is the main scene and persona of the artist throughout. As well as this, the image is bright and uses the guitar as an extra element.

I also like this image, which is a snapshot from my music video. This image is also quite natural, though it may look serious here. It represents the artist well with a close up of her face, but still shows continuity in regards to the background and the persona of the artist.

I also print screened this image from my music video. I like the idea of using an image from my music video because it shows contiunity and represents the main track on the album. I think this image would look good on the front cover of the CD because it connotes the artist searching for something or looking back in the past. This is ideal because I plan for my album to represents this idea.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- EDITED PHOTOS

These are my two possible images for my front cover after I edited them both slightly. I decided that it would be good to make the photos lighter and more dynamic.

After doing this, I was able to make a decidion as to which image to use. I decided that I would use the image at the bottom. Even though I originally preferred the image above, after editing both, I felt that the colours of the other image was more attractive and would appeal to the audience. The top image colours in the background especially are 'messy' because the fence is badly painted. As well as this, I think the location in the tree is more vibrant and  different.
I have decided that it is also important to keep the cover coloured instead of black and white. This will attract to my specific target audience.
In spite of not using the top image as the front cover, I may beable to find somewhere else to use it.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- EDITING PHOTOS FOR MY FRONT COVER

I decided that before choosing an image to use for my front cover, that I would edit both images slightly to make the quality and colour different. By doing this, I will be able to look at both images and make a decision through this. As I only wanted to edit the photos slightly, I used windows photo gallery. This allowed me just to adjust the colour of the photos and the brightness of the image.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- POSSIBLE IMAGES FOR MY ALBUM COVER

Another option I have for the front cover of my album cover is this image.
I like this image because it links nicely to my music video, including the guitar and a location that I used in my video.
Again, the image is ideal because it is landscape.
In comparison to the other image, this one is more posed as the artist is looking towards the camera instead of away from it. In one way, I like this, but I feel that it may be more attractive to use the natural posed image.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- POSSIBLE IMAGES FOR MY ALBUM COVER

This is a possible image that I could use for my album cover. I like this image because it is natural looking and the use of the guitar is a link to the genre and the album, especially the song that I am filming for.
As I would like my song to be the feature song of the album, this image is suitable to denote the song and the genre of the narrative and song itself.
I also think that it would be ideal to use because she is not looking at the camera, so it looks natural and it is taken landscape and not portrait, which is ideal for a front cover.

ANCILLARY TASK 1 - ORIGINAL PLAN FOR ALBUM COVER

After starting to research album covers and before starting to create it, I decided to make a rough outline of what I would like to include on the front, back and inside of the CD cover. By doing this, I am allowing myself to have a plan that I could follow to some extent while working on this ancillary task.
Though I am likely to change my ideas throughout the process, this enables me to have an idea in my head of what I would like my CD album to look like.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS

After sending out a number of questions, I received a wide range of feedback in regards to my CD cover for my song.
Overall, the feedback showed me that my target audience are expecting to see images of the artist or band or an image which relates to the album on the front cover of CD. It is clear from the questionnaires I received back that my target audience enjoy listening to and buying CD albums of their favourite artists.
As well as the image, the majority vote from my target audience said that they would expect to see the title of the album and possibly the artist' name on the front cover.
In regards to the other areas of the album, they would like to see a track list on the back of the CD album and in the inside,  there were many different ideas to think about because there was not a significant answer for this question.

As well as this, I included questions in regards to my second ancillary task. From this, I gathered that magazines are often read by my target audience and that the advertisements within them have influence on my target audience purchasing them. The majority vote as to what they expect to see on the advertisement includes images of the artist, the price or the image of the album itself.
Overall, my feedback received is very useful for me, because it now allows me to plan and create my ancillary tasks in favour of my target audience.

This was one of the questionnaire results that showed the main overall feedback I received:

ANCILLARY TASK 1- QUESTIONNAIRES

Before starting the front cover for my Album cover, I decided that it would be useful if I sent out another questionnaire to my target audience. I have decided to make a questionnaire in regards to both of the ancillary tasks, allowing to gather an overall image and ideas for both tasks. Even though I included questions about both ancillary tasks in my first questionnaire, I decided to create one that specifically focuses on the ancillary tasks.
By doing this, I will be able to receive feedback on both CD covers, magazine advertisements and the opinions regarding these from my target audience.

This is the copy of my questionnaire.

In this questionnaire, I have asked questions including what the audience would like to see on an album cover, how often they buy CD albums and why they buy them. As well as this, I asked how often they buy magazines, if advertisements in magazines influence them and what they would expect to see on a magazine advertisement e.g. the image and text used. The feedback I will collect will allow me to represent and create the ancillary tasks to the preference of my target audience.

ANCILLARY TASK 1- RESEARCHING CD SINGLE COVERS

I also decided to research into single covers just to look at the conventions of them and to see how different or similar they are to album conventions. From researching into the covers of a single, I discovered that nearly all single covers have a image of the artist and the title of the single. These are the main two features, so that the cover is not overpowered by writing.
The image of the artist does not always refer to the song or title of the song but sometimes they are relevant.
Overall, this shows that the conventions of albums and singles are very similar.

For my ancillary task, I have decided to make an album cover instead of a single cover. Within this, I will feature Back to December as the main track on the album.

ANCILLARY TASK- CD ALBUM COVER RESEARCH

From researching CD album covers, I have realised that there are many different types of album covers available. These vary from images of the artist to cartoon designs and other images related to the album.
I have realised that all album covers highlight basic information, including the artist name and/or the name of the album.
There are many albums created in this layout, only varying in size of image, colour and font. In some cases, the text located on the album cover overlaps the image and subject of the cover, which the majority is usually the image of the artist/band.

Though this is what the majority of Album covers look like, it does not apply to all music album covers. This can be seen through the Boys Like Girls album, where they have used an image that may represent the album including the songs within the album or the band itself.
You can also see that not all images used are classic. Madonna's album on the left is a cartoon image of her.

The common theme throughout these is the display of the title and the artist whose album it is. I believe this is essential on an album cover.

MY FINAL VIDEO AND ANALYSIS

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjIomypIeyk
After working with the music, by cutting various sections of the song out-this is my final video. As I needed to change the music so drastically, there were many shots I had to delete as a result of this.
Overall, I am happier with this video than before. This is because it was more manageable and is more likely to be a music video because of the shorter length. By making the song shorter, I was able to include more shots than beforehand, which creates variety.

The most obvious edit I used in my music video is the colour changes throughout. For the shots relating to the past I decided to use black and white colour effect. This was because it clearly shows that it is a different time period, but also to give variety to the video. This can sometimes be seen in music videos. As well as the colour edit, the persona and the costumes used in the different shows also show a clear opposition between the two.

I decided to still keep the beginning and the end of the video directly linked. This is because it connotes the artist walking into the narrative and walking away from the narrative, but also the relationship. This is also somewhat representative of the lyrics.

Throughout my music video, there isnt too many shots and changes, especially towards the beginning of the video. I tried to avoid overcrowding of changing shots because I believe it changes the tone of the video e.g. the more shots/changes is likely to refer to a more 'upbeat' song. By having some shots that are longer, they are able to connote and have direct links to the song, lyrics and the tempo of the song.

In various occasions throughout the video, I have amplified the lyrics (0:50, 2:03-2:12). Though they are not be fully amplified, they denote a direct link to the song and show that there are clear references to the lyrics. I think that it is somewhat effective because it would be less repetitive and if I was to amplify the lyrics throughout, the video would not be as effective because it is not emphasising specific lyrics of the song.

Though I am pleased with what I have created, there are some problems with the video, that I could have changed but had problems especially in regards to my actress/artist who changed the colour of her hair. This created a huge problem for me, because I was unable to film extra pieces of her head/face to use. As well as this, the programme I used to create my video became temperamental at various points whilst creating my product.

UPLOADING MY VIDEO TO YOUTUBE

To publish my music video, I decided to upload it to youtube. By uploading my music video to youtube, it allows me and other peers to view my video in an accessible way, whislt being able to give me feedback.

As I did not want my video to be public and could not make it private, I decided to set it as unlisted, so that people who have the link to my video can watch it but others cannot. I did this, so that I am aware of who is watching my music video whilst still being able to be accessed by various people.

PROBLEM REGARDING MY MUSIC VIDEO

After receiving feedback from both my teachers, it was suggested that I change the length of my music video because it is too long.
As my shots are too long, I have decided to cut the end of the song to make it shorter. I will then be able to use these shots from the end to mix up the beginning of my video by including more 'past' shots of both my actors.
This will be useful because I will be able to add more variety to the beginning of my video, as well as it being a more manageable size that I am happy with.

I had to split the music at a certain point in the song to make the song shorter.

FEEDBACK ON MY VIDEO

After almost completing my video, I decided to ask my fellow colleagues and family to write down anything they like about my video and if I should change anything and what this shall be.
This is some of the feedback I received:

I also recieved feedback from my media teacher, both positive and negative.
Overall, the positive feedback included a good use of mise en scene, clear contrasts between the past and the present and a clear sense of personna for the artist.

Though these were all positive, I was also given ideas for improvements. These included the stillness of the camera work, the variety of shots and the length of time each shot is held.
With these in mind, I decided that it wouldbe useful to overlook for my video again to pin point areas in need of improving.
Though out of this, I decided that it might be a good idea to refilm and film more shots for my video, the main actress in my video has recently dyed her hair a darker colour. This is a problem that I will need to overcome when thinking about how to improve my video.

THIRD ATTEMPT OF MY VIDEO

I tried to change some areas of the video that I was unhappy with. This was my final original music video.

SECOND VIDEO ATTEMPT

After knowing what I had to edit from my first attempt, this was my result. From the first attempt, I have changed the lip sync in various places and added in footage in the places that were empty.
I still need to change the lip sync at the very beginning of the video for me to be fully happy with it. I am aware of certain areas in which the camera is shaky, so I need to try and work my way around this.

FIRST VIDEO ATTEMPT

This is my first attempt at my music video. After working on the programme, I decided that it would be a good idea to start editing my footage so that I could then work on it from there.
I am pleased with what I have produced, but there are still problems that I need to overcome.  In areas throughout the video, I am unhappy with the lip sync and currently there is a large section that has yet to be filmed or edited which I have not put in yet but overall I feel that this has been successful.

USING THE GREYSCALE EFFECT

When editing my Music video I decided to use the greyscale effect. This was to be used on the shots that are referring back to the past.
Luckily enough, this was an easy option which I could edit through the programme I used.
By changing the colour of the shots, the video becomes more varied as well as becoming effective for the audience. The difference in effects represents the clear idea between past and present, whilst greyscale effect is commonly used in music videos because it is a common and recognisable effect.

This is how I would include the effect into my Music Video.

EDITING MY MUSIC VIDEO

To edit my video, I decided to use Windows movie maker for various reasons. I believe that Movie Maker is good enough to edit my video.

Windows Movie maker allows me to insert music and videos in a simple way. There is also ways to change the speed, the times, the transitions and the colours of the movie. I believe that this is all I need to be able to edit my movie the way I would like to. As well as this, I am familiar with the programme, so I feel comfortable with using it.

FILMING FOR MY MUSIC VIDEO

To begin with, I decided to start by filming the main actress in the video, playing the role of the artist. As I was using areas of my garden to do the filming, I was able to film this smoothly and quickly. Luckily for me, the weather was sunny on this day, which suited the brief I had given myself. The advantages of this was also that I would not have anyone around and walking in my shots, but I did have to overcome challenges, including equipment etc.

After filming this, I decided that it was important to have more than one setting for my singer to be, giving the narrative some variety. With this in mind, I decided to go to the local park because I still wanted to keep the theme of fields/grass, but knew that this would look different and be more open.
When going to my local park, I located my shots in the field itself, as well as a path in the woods and a bench.
I did want to use a swing/play park of some sort, but there was not one available, so I had to relocate for that scene.

After filming the majority of my singer, I decided that I needed to film the 'flashback' scenes with the other actor. I decided to use the park as a starting point, to show continuity and represent the singer looking back at those specific memories.

Once filming in the local park, I realised that I had filmed enough of the couple in the park itself, that I decided not to film any daily things in my house. I did not deem this necessary but still had this idea in mind just in case.

Though I didn't need footage of the couple, I realised that I needed some more of my singer. I decided that for this, I should use my house. This shows a new setting in my video, giving it variety but also because it was appropriate for that certain scene and I hadn't yet used this location.

A challenge I had to overcome was the weather. In my house, I wanted to film a scene where the artist was crying and looking out of the window. For this scene, I really wanted it to be dark and raining to denote sadness and being lonely. Unfortunately the weather was not as expected and instead it was sunny on the certain day I filmed. Though I was annoyed about this, I didn't think it was a disaster because the other footage of the artist was set in sunny locations too. This represents continuity.

CAMERA ANGLES

It is also essential that I try and use a variety of camera angles in my music video. These include:

High Angle Shots -  These can be used throughout my video. This can represent power but also gives variety to the shots.
Low Angle Shots -  These shots can also be used variously throughout my video. A low angle can represent vulnerability which links broadly to my narrative and song.
Eye-Level Shots - This is the most common shot I will use. It is a neutral shot that allows the audience to see the actor in a daily, reallife situation.
Bird's Eye Shot - This is a shot from above the actor. This is used to to show a different angle perspective. In regards to my video, I can use this angle on my artist.

It is important that I try to include almost all of these shots to allow me to have a variety of angles. This will give my video variety and create a well developed personna of the actor.

CAMERA MOVEMENT

As well as Camera shots, it is a good idea to have a range of camera movements. By doing this, it will allow my video to be full of variation, but also so that the music video can run smoothly to the music
Camera movements that I can include are:
  • Follow - This is when the camera follows the subject from a distance. This can be used to emphasise the movement and normality of the subject (in my case). It also represents the subject from the POV of someone else.
  • Pan - The pan movement is a movement from right to left. This would be good to use because it highlights the subject and brings variety to the video.
  • Tilt - A tilt would add variety to the music video because it adds in a different movement of the camera.
  • Zoom - Zooming in or out of the subject will give emphasis on it as well as connoting the emotions of the subject and highlighting specific themes of the music video.
  • Track - A tracking shot stays a constant distance from the subject and 'tracks' the subject. This will also allow my video to become more interesting while allowing the audience to feel as if they are involved within the music video.

CAMERA SHOTS

For my music video to be successful, it is important to have a variety of camera shots used throughout the video.
These include:
  • Close up Shots - I will be able to use these shots in close ups of the artist or either of the narrative actors. It would also be an idea to use close up shots on the guitar that I was going to use for my artist. This will bring emphasis on the music and the artist.
  • Mid shots- These will be used throughout my video for both the song and the narrative.
  • Long Shots - I plan on using Long shots in various ways. It would be ideal to use a long shot to represent the artist and these will be used when walking and for different movement shots.
  • Extreme Close up- These could be used on various occasions, including the eyes of the singer or actors in the narratives.
  • POV Shot- It would be useful to use  a POV shot in my video because it shows the audience the perspective of the artist. Though this may not be relevant to my music video, I will try to include this shot to create variety.
  • Cut In/Cut Away Shots - By using a cut in, focusing on another area of the subject or a cut away, focusing on something that is not the subject, variety would be included in the video as well as representing other ideas that link to the narraive e.g. hand hold
  • Over the shoulder Shot - This shot will be useful to establish the location of both my actors in the video and to recognise the POV of one of the actors in reaction to the other.
  • Establishing shots - I can use these shots to represent the setting and location.

COSTUMES AND PERSONNA OF ACTORS

My Female Actor

The main actor in my music video, which will be played by my sister, has two different roles to play in the video, including a change in costume and personality.

  • In the shots that involve her being the artist of the video, I plan for her to look summery, showing a significant time difference since the couple supposedly broke up. By doing this, it also allows me to have a clear difference between the two scenes I will film.
For this to happen successfully, it is important that I think about the weather and choose a suitable day to film  e.g. A day that it is sunny and not raining. Also, to successfully achieve this, I need to think about the costume for my actor. My initial ideas include summery dresses, particularly a maxi dress. This will be ideal because it will look good within fields/grass (idyllic setting) and will clearly connote the mood and the 'summer' feel to the shots.
During these shots, it is important that my actor looks solemn and regrets the decision she made in the past.

  • In the other scene, in which my main actor is joined by the male lead, it is essential that the shots are set in cold weather, which can be clearly shown through a suitable costume. My initial ideas for costume include winter wear, including jumpers, coats, scarves and hats etc. This allows the audience to get the idea that the weather would be cold- referring to December.
I would need the weather to be dull and grey, but not to be raining for most of the shots, so it is important that I choose certain days and check weather forecasts to achieve this.
I would like for the weather to be snowy because it would clearly represent 'December' to the audience, but due to the time of the year, this is not always likely.
During these scenes, it is essential that the actor is happy and carefree to beable to contrast directly to the mood of the actress in the other scenes.
My Male Actor

  • My male actor is only to appear in flashback shots. In these it is important that the same requirements are used for that of my female actor. This will show continuity and allow the two of the actors to be representing the same ideas.

NARRATIVE OF MY MUSIC VIDEO

The main narrative for my music video involves a young couple who have recently (in December) broken up.
The song shows that the girl involved in the narrative(and who is in fact my artist also) was the reason for the break up, but she is now the one who is regretting her decision and wants to go back to what the two of them shared.

With this in mind, I will show the girl singing in a summer climate, because she is looking back in the past and have various shots that will represent flashbacks to 'December' throughout the song, involving both her and her 'ex' boyfriend.

This is the rough outline of my narrative, which I plan to expand and emphasise throughout my video.
